What was one of the best moments in your pregnancy?

Lunch! I loved going out for lunch and eating whatever I was in the mood for. Pre pregnancy I was never a big lunch person and when I was pregnant I didn't miss a lunch. 

 

What do you wish someone had told you about having a newborn?

I wish someone would have told me that while you love your baby from the second they come out, it will take a beat to really get to know them and figure out who they are.  

 

What’s the one thing you can’t live without?

My friend from Denmark gave me a small baby sized duvet. Like a little down comforter that you use like a blanket. It allowed me to make a cozy environment everywhere we went in the stroller, traveling and in her crib. 

 

What’s your favorite part of being a mother?

My favorite part about being a mom is the person it has made me become. I slow down, I look up at the sky and notice the little things that my daughter is seeing for the first time. 

 

Do you have a typical mom anecdote that makes you smile?

When Hobey learned "cheese" she scrunches up her noise and shows all of her teeth. She does it at times when I am serious and I can't help but laugh.
